Maurizio Battista New Year’s Eve special — 21:45
Turismo Roma lists a New Year’s Eve show by Maurizio Battista at Teatro Olimpico at 21:45. The organiser says the detailed programme is still being defined and may change. Check the official Turismo Roma listing and the linked theatre page before booking.
Rome’s official outdoor celebration
The main Roma Capitale programme for the night of 31 December 2026 was not yet published when this guide was checked. Do not assume that the venue, performers or start time will repeat the previous year. Updates should appear on Roma Capitale’s events pages and Roma Live.
If you plan to attend a large public event, expect controlled entrances, bag checks, road closures and crowded metro stations. Keep an alternative meeting point away from the main venue.

Many restaurants use a fixed cenone menu, request a deposit and apply strict cancellation terms. Confirm the exact menu, drinks, service time and whether the table is kept through midnight. Where to be at midnight
Choose one plan rather than trying to cross the historic centre late in the evening. Panoramic terraces can become crowded and may be affected by access restrictions. Fireworks are not guaranteed at every public event, and private fireworks can create smoke and noise: follow police instructions and keep clear of informal launch areas.
Metro, buses and getting home
The special ATAC schedule for 31 December 2026 had not yet been released. Check ATAC status updates shortly before the event for metro closing times, night-bus changes and station restrictions. Walking may be faster across the centre, but plan a safe route and do not count on finding a taxi immediately after midnight.
